Torre Muga Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2019

Happy Easter! Uses a lot of new French oak, and it shows but it’s well-integrated. It tastes like a marriage between a California Cabernet and a classic rioja, modern in style but very good. Intense concentration, silky tannins on the palate with medium+ acidity. chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, spice, a bit of earth, and rich dark fruit that’s nearly jammy but not quite. — 19 days ago

Kind of disappointed...maybe my expectations were too high? Not as complex and layered as I would have hoped for. — 17 days ago

Ampelio Tuscan Red Blend 2019

Such a nice drinking wine with strong dynamic flavors and not breaking the bank. Oiled leather and plums jump right out. Medium bodied and medium tannins. Some jammy fruits and tobacco. Great blend. — 8 months ago

Verdicchio di Matelica 2015

First granny Smith apple with a lemon lime spritzer then a tart grapefruit with a mouth watering acidic, tongue, zinging finish well in between some nuances of herbs and greens just begging for another sip — a month ago

Seems very light but actually taste is rich and the wine has strong tannins. Surprisingly mature smell. — 4 months ago
