Big nose of yellow fruit preserves and alcohol freshness, with notes of brûlée and vanilla weaved within. Between 91-92. Big, dense, peppery, and fun for a not a usually Zin guy. Has boysenberry, blueberry, soy, and funk. Pretty good balance if you don’t consider the fruit. 😉 — 2 years ago

Pretty purple with the edges starting to lighten up to ruby red. More restrained style - plenty of depth without being really jammy. Blue fruit gives way to chambord, grilled meat and cocoa with black tea on the long finish. Amazingly balanced for 15.7% alcohol. But at first sip you get the age and depth of the wine that has the fruit hiding beneath some good structure.
