Named after a little creek running between the vineyards and the Villa.
60 % Merlot, 30 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 10 % Cabernet Franc from vineyards in Bolgheri and Maremma.
12 months in French and American Oak barriques…30 % new.
Deep, dark ruby red.
Red fruit, leather,toasty and herbal on the nose.
Dark plum, tobacco, bay leaf with finely grained tannins with medium acidity and a fresh finish.
This wine definitely punches above its weight.
It’s the little brother.
The big brother is Sor Ugo.

Very nice. Good choice uncle Ugo! A little berry up front, really good depth and some spice on the finish. Went great with dinner after having fun in a plaza in Dijon watching France win the World Cup. Very exciting time to be here!! — 8 years ago

No formal notes as this was the last wine served and I didn’t get enough time to examine in detail. Served blind. Medium ruby , quite wide garnet rim . Quite high toned , fresh red fruits , strawberry, raspberry , and touch of spice . Elegant and refined , very tensile . Quite fresh with spiced red cherry fruit , long and detailed , saline tinged on the finish . Impressive but very young , needs a bit more time really. Better in 5-10 years and will last well a further 10 or so. — 8 months ago
