This will work with the ribeyes tonight. A really solid Mencia for the price. Dark fruit, leather, some vanilla, wet leaves. Tannic and acidic, great for the fat I'm about to consume.

13%. Not the most concentrated or complex wine but impeccably balanced. Fruity but not overdone. Plenty of earthiness. A little hit of tannin and smokiness on the back end. Slight astringency. Burgundian is played when talking about Bierzo but you really can’t help the comparison. These guys are making wine the right way. Chug city. Raul Perez’ nephew, apparently. — 6 months ago
