Generous nose of petrol & orchard fruit, cotton candy, quite decadent… some slate & Earth driven elements leading to equally impressive mid palate w/same orchard - all ripe and tinged w/powdered sugar. Round in the Mosel style, silky lithe yet zippy leading to finish w/just a hint of RS. In the pocket now — 2 years ago
An explosion of citrus, brilliant acidity. Just stunning. — 6 years ago
Racy acidity, a deep fruit character and lenghty finish. A must try! This is what it’s about! — 8 years ago

Deep amber colour, complex aromas of dried fruit, apricot, mango, saffron and honey. Less sweet than expected, was probably a lot sweeter in its youth. — 3 years ago
strong kerosene and slight floral notes on the nose with a palate consisting mostly of green apple and lime. very delicious — 5 years ago
Bernkastel wine festival! Dry Riesling in every sense, smell of wet slate (less of petrol), soaring acidity and medium body with a long finish. Crisp and clean with minerality and acidity dominant, minimal fruit flavors. — 7 years ago
Stunning nose. Slate magnified by a telescope. Slate expression is unreal. Also some sweet plantains and vanilla extract. Blueberry. Some vulcanized rubber. Superb finesse and concentration. Wow the dry extract on this is insane. What a core. So intense and deep. A palate that is slightly confectionary. Just a beast but an elegant beast. One of the best Kabinetts I’ve ever had. Herbal nose and herbal palate. Shockingly cerebral. For MENSA users. Finish is sweet greens. Wow the mineral acid crunch. — 3 years ago
Had the 1993 vintage. Still great after 30 years — 3 years ago
The best Riesling I’ve ever had in my life. We had it for Thanksgiving. It was great with turkey and gravy. — 7 years ago
Lovely, bright, sunlight, apricot and slate. The natural sugars of the spatlese are there but chill after 21 years waiting #myfavoritethings — 8 years ago
developed but fully alive with a tick box in all clusters, the sweet viscosity is balanced by a lively freshness throughout the finish. — 8 years ago
