Нежное, мягкое вино, лимонные оттенки в послевкусии. — 4 years ago
— 4 years ago

Wonderful and full bodied!

Dark ruby. Meaty blackberry on the nose. Less meat and more blackberry plus some stewed red apple on the juicy, medium palate. Medium plus acidity. Medium, surprisingly assertive tannins. Moderate finish that continues the complex palate. A food wine out of Austria that's perfect for Germanic fare (pork, sausages, noodles) or the typical American cookout. Drink now through 2027. — a year ago

‘20 smoky pissy roasty eggplants peppers brambly fruits — 3 years ago
Vivid & crunchy, with red & black fruits in the nose (dark cherry, plums) but also some cloves, a hint of orange zest and some darker earthy notes in the back. A touch of brambly, wild character.
Much fresher vs the Nittnaus Pannobile.
On the palate smooth and with great flow. Nice, velvety tannins, zippy citrus acidity, damson plums, red currants, sour cherries. But also a core of irony minerality.
Very attractive, balancing nicely between the pure fruit and the savoury character. Plus some interesting edges on the side.
High drinkability, too!
A truly nice wine! — 4 years ago
Nice sesame reduction on the nose with some roast apple and a hint of salty caramel.
On the palate this has nice tension, a salty mineral core covered in layers of apple, green apricot and caramel.
Good depth and purity and soo food friendly. — 5 years ago

I’m not into whites, but this is the best tasting, easiest going white I’ve ever had. It costs next to nothing so making a schorle doesn’t make you feel guilty and it’s just as tasty!! — 3 years ago
Expressive nose with black peppercorns, cloves, crushed rock, a hint of iron & blood, underneath all that - pure black fruit. Fresh, spicy, enticing.
Medium bodied on the palate with ripe, grippy tannins, juicy black fruit acidity and nice purity to the fruit. This has grip, good tension, quite some power and loads of character. Reminiscent of Northern Rhône.
Nice length, too! A brilliant Austrian red! — 4 years ago
PLV normal minus bei 9 EUR (1 EUR ist Regionalzuschlag) aber Hexamers Weissburgunder liegt bei 8,30 und ist nicht viel besser. Auf jeden Fall ein schöner Wein. — 4 years ago
Day one: not very appealing. Jammy, unbalanced. Day two: a totally different wine. Well balanced. More complex. Hints of a right bank Bordeaux. W some spice. Would guess is a blend w cab franc. Liked a lot day two. 13% al. — 8 years ago

Waxed leather, dusty brick, slow cooked meat, wood smoke. Never had a wine from this area before and thoroughly enjoyed it, very earthy very visceral wine. Could if he’s a little more structured, but all things considered I’m not enough in an expert to say this that or whatever. Really delicious and went very well with giant pasta shells, high fat butter, and venison meatballs. No complaints. — 5 months ago
