Much like the wraith it doesn’t warrant the cost. Good juice but better alternatives at that price point. — 10 days ago
Everything that an aged Napa cab should be! Plush dark fruit and red plum combined with a level of tannin ripeness and integration that was fully enjoyable. This vintage has more life in the cellar albeit probably not more than 5 years or so. Optimal drinking window is now! — 5 months ago
Almost 3 years since my last bottle of this and my notes are very different. Thought this would be drinking well now but it’s still tight on open. Bright ruby colored, big red cherry and tobacco nose. Red fruit, earthy, tight. — 6 months ago
A beautiful Mornington Peninsula Pinot drinking at its peak. A nice blend of red fruits and earthy nuances - M+ intensity on the palate. Again the lightness in colour belies that palate intensity - a sweet palate. Main Ridge Estate was an early producer in Mornington and remains highly rated - Half Acre being their Premium Cuvée. Bottles from this estate are not readily available even in Australia. NOTE DELECTABLE - this Cuvée is the Half Acre Not the Acre. — 6 months ago

This wine had great depth.
Decanted for 2-3 hours and this wine was excellent — 9 days ago
On a day that the Northern CA rain reminds me of the weather on the day I bought this at the tasting room in OR, I decided to pop this one and see how it stacks up. Simple elegance with the label. Color is red/maroon instead of ink or blood purple. Smells a bit like a berry-cherry tart in a campfire. Matchsticks. Flavors are spectacular. Fruit coupled with savory strange stuff. Minerals. Like lots of them. Flinty. Bittersweet in the best kind of way. Hint of mocha. Complex to say the least. This is a lovely wine. Less tannic and dense than WA or CA Syrah, but bright and strange like the best Syrah’s from France. Almost seems like a GSM blend. Elements of great Grenache in there too. Nice stuff. — 3 months ago

For the price you’d expect more. Easy to drink with tons of fruit. I’m not sure how these can age without any real structure. Almost like a drink now style of wine. — 10 days ago
