This 3-year-old Pinot Noir from Oregon is starting to drink nicely now, but still very young. Needs 3 to 5 years in the bottle to mature properly.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 30 minutes.
This Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is showing nice complexity with a soft mouth feel. Elegant, easy drinking and good by itself or with food.

Med body med acid Lt tannin big juicy fruity cherry and lt cedar on the palate. This is a super easy drinker with just e ough body and finish to make it quite likable. This is a go to every day wine esp at 19 a btl. — 8 years ago

Went through a dramatic slow journey once opened from a big fruity nose that would have made me guess a young gamay, followed by a teeth chipping tannic front, and then (maybe an hour in?) settled down like a older confident burgandy. — 2 years ago
Second label from the Jonata house. Dark fruit aromas (blackberry, currents) with notes of wet leaves, black licorice and tobacco. Pallet is big and round, but the tannins are very soft. Luscious and ripe black fruit flavors. Earthy finish, which is a touch on the short side. Easy drinker that is nicely balanced. Good stuff! — 6 years ago
This was a subtle and balanced Syrah. A little mushroom / meaty funk and soft blue fruits in the nose. Medium acid and tannin, soft entry, big on the mid palate, and good length. A Pinot Lover’s Syrah, which isn’t necessarily my favorite style but this was undeniably complex and delicious. — 7 years ago
Excellent CDP, bright fruit (raspberries/strawberries) on the nose, follows through on the palate, well balanced - only drawback is a slight wooden feel on the back end but easy to look past. Opened up wonderfully after a couple hours. JW big fan. Powerful enough to stand up to red meat despite being a Rhône — 8 months ago
One of the faves for Shiraz. Big, bold, yet easy to drink. Punchy with black and red fruits, not to tannic. — 2 years ago
It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Deep purple in color with a short purplish rim.
Beautiful nose with lots of chocolates and light earth notes.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing black currants, cooked plums, cedar, tobacco, vanilla, dried figs, raisins, licorice, light earth, peppercorn, cola, spices and dark chocolates.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and crushed peppercorn.
This is a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley. Big and bold. Spicy and tangy. Showing nice complexity at this point.
This 6 year old is drinking beautifully now. Rich yet elegant. Extracted and easy drinking. Well balanced and really delicious.
A beautiful surprise. I had the 2016 a few years ago, and this is drinking much better now. I did not expect it from the 2017 vintage.
Thank you Mike for sharing this with me.
Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself as a sipping wine. Robert Parker 93 points.

Big dark cherry here, vanilla and oak. Dusty with fairly strong but smooth tannins and a nice long easy finish. — 7 years ago
This really reminds me of some of the more natural Cote Rotie producers I've tasted (especially Jean Michel Stephan). Mint, eucyliptus leads the nose with white pepper and subtle bloody meat notes. On the palate, very subtle tropical fruit notes (almost like pineapple and strawberry) but subtle. Plenty of meatiness and herbal quality on the palate too. Ideal wine for lamb. In a really good, soft and easy drinking stage for the 2011 vintage. — 7 years ago
