Medium golden color. Very expressive aromas of rose petals, honeysuckle, melon, orchids and Asian spices. Flavors of apricot, peaches, tropical fruit, honey and ginger. Nice touches of mandarin orange and minerals on the long and elegant finish. Pleasant viscous/oily texture. Subtle acidity but still very well balanced. So complex, concentrated and bold but also very harmonious. — 6 months ago
Loving it! Elegant yet complex — a year ago
2022 vintage. A blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. This biodynamic estate goes from strength to strength in the capable hands of Caroline Frey. In this exceptional vintage La Lagune honours its reputation as the finest wine in the Haut-Médoc appellation. Black fruit, flowers, cedar and subtle spices. A thick mouth feel, with layers of succulent fruit, spices, and a powerful structure of what might be the most velvety tannins ever for this estate. As usual it displays that unique aromatic and elegant character that I describe as somewhere between Margaux and Pessac-Léognan. Impressive depth and length. A strong contender for the title of best La Lagune ever. — 2 years ago

Barrel (Used) aged Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc white blend. Light silver/yellow color with green highlights. Aromas of orchard fruit, white flowers, citrus and a hint of vanilla. Flavors of white peach, gooseberries, lemon/lime, green apple and pineapple fruit with hints of mint and spices. Touch of minerals on the long and crisp finish. Electric acidity and 13% ABV. Slightly creamy texture and a bit of heft from the neutral oak aging. Bold and complex. — 13 days ago
