This is the Riserva. Needs some air to coax out its charms, but then this turns into a very charming and undemanding Chianti. Nose has ripe, slightly macerated cherry, a whiff of vanilla, and some nice gravelly notes. In the mouth, it’s quite fruity, with good concentration, but there’s a lot of very fine-grained tannin integrated. Acids are quite soft but present enough for balance. Not the most complex but fun and a great value. — 3 years ago
Beautiful Italian dessert wine - prefer over ice wine or Sauternes — 7 years ago
Great with food: cheese, garlic bread, etc. caught at a good price. — 3 months ago

Licorice Snaps, Olive Temponade, cherry, raspberries, slate, strawberry jam! A lot in this glass on Pop n Pour. Vintage Chart indicates nowhere near ready to drink (I use as a light reference). I expect this to improve with age, definitely yummy now! — 10 months ago
Very strong cherry flavor! Smooth! Beautiful color! Light in flavor. Would drink again! — 8 years ago

This co-op’s village-specific gran seleziones are seemingly always great values and nice weeknight dinner choices. Very classic nose of macerated cherry, and mineral-flecked gravel. Medium-bodied, soft and balanced in the mouth. Flavors tending toward the savory and mineral rather than fruity. Lengthy finish. — 3 months ago
