Not called Baroness anymore this mid level HB 2025 vintage is exploding out of the glass. Took a minute to get my bearings instead of restraint and editing it’s a full out cabaret of a wine with lively melon gooseberries and passion fruit on an edgy substrate of salinity and limestone. Went incredibly well with prosciutto and honeydew. Once I adjusted I found it magnificent. — 3 months ago
Cherry and red/dark berry with a touch of leather and earthiness. Still prefer Willamette Pinots but this French Pinot was quite impressive. — 7 months ago
Balance and soft textures thirty years! Say ten years after acquiring from JR whose email says matriarch passing freed up this library holding back then. — 10 months ago
Magnum from bakers and larner's holt, have visited ch cissac 2028 so some bottle age, classic left bank lilac and violet with tabac lovely — a year ago
Last had this 10 months ago. I think it's on the decline since then. Grapefruit, melon, citrus. Lacking acidity, it's a bit flabby. That's not what I remember in the last bottle. Anyway, it's nice with some fresh caught walleye.

Bit of a filler-wine...tastes good but completely forgetable. — 8 months ago
Deep Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruits, oak and herb spice, a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. On the palate flavors of blackberry and currants with notes of cedar, herb, cacao and bell pepper. Fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, vanilla and earthy oak spice character. — 8 months ago
This Chavignol-based cuvée is very deep. Nose has just-ripe orchard fruit, with a fleeting tropical suggestion, an herbal/minty note, and a deep mineral stank, almost feral in nature. Deeply flavored too, it’s bone dry and full bodied, and while there’s an up-front bit of fruit, the huge minerality quickly takes charge. Medium acids. Another Chavignol geology seminar in a glass. — a year ago
Deliciously refreshing with a hint of berry — 2 months ago
A good inexpensive blend but unremarkable. At 10+ years old, cherry still present from the Cabernet, very smooth from the Merlot and Cab Franc but little complexity. June 2026. — 2 months ago
Beautiful minerality — 4 months ago
Very nice super and rich — 6 months ago
Strawberry aroma, spark of apple cider at first taste, bubbly mineral essence. — 8 months ago
A bit of oak with a long finish. $30 — 9 months ago
Jolie complexité sur un fruité juteux avec de très discrètes notes oxydatives, mineralité et rondeur. c'est efficace et juste — a year ago

2016 vintage. Dark ruby with orange rim. This seems to be at its peak now. A complex nose with flowers, red and black fruits, and a hint of rosemary. A fresh and elegant Haut-Médoc with very good length that sells for a song (15 euro). Abv. 13,5%. — 4 days ago
