LOVED this. — 4 years ago
Wonderful by itself or with food. Love that the acidity isn’t overpowering. Has a nice creaminess to the mouthfeel and is very balanced. — 4 years ago

A remarkably pretty gleaming gold color with persistent bubbles. Everything about the nose is natural, fresh, and alluring. Apple is dominate in the beginning with lemons and limes developing. Brioche, chalk, and a hint of spice round things out.
It’s truly amazing just how ready all of these 2012’s are. They are all shining like diamonds immediately. Grower producers are working magic. 60/40 CH/PN, this is a very traditional champagne but elevated. The acidity is wild and beautiful at the moment and will calm down with time. Even on day 2 this retains that freshness and refinement.
The palate showcases some really nice, vibrant citrus fruit. Grapefruit, cherries, and wild strawberries up front. Peaches and cheese with minerality and a little smoke. Definitely ready now but built to last. Precise and creamy. Very nice.

Rich, toasty chenin with champagne-like character. Oxidative style. I loved it. — 5 years ago
Rich but not over the top and not too revealing on the nose or palate. Tasty nonetheless. Maybe a little maturity to settle in. — 6 years ago

Strawberry, cherry, vanilla, cracker. Lots of vinous red fruit on the palate with tart cherry med+ acidity and almost gravely minerality on the finish. Low autolytic character.

How do they fit the 🍐 in the bottle?🤷🏼♂️

I had this one back in July.
The bottle notes differently, not entirely but very different.
The entry is Braeburn apple cider, bruised Bosc pear, raspberries, white and some red cherries, marmalade fruit bits, white citrus blend with pith, soft, melted caramel, vanillin, graham cracker.crust, just a touch of yeast, mildly bitty volcanic minerals, saline, edgy textured chalky bits, sea fossils, limestone marl, dry river stone, white spice-ginger, specs of nutmeg, funeral flowers lilies, white spring flowers mixed in greens, very lively acidity w/ grand precision, the elegant finish is very well balanced, nicely toned, mid structured, smartly polished finish that lasts nearly two-minutes and long sets on spice, volcanics and pumpkin pie made with clove.
1/3 of each; of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier, Sourced from, Trigny, Massif de Saint-Thierry-sandier soils near the Petite Montagne, vinified and aged in stainless steel tanks, aged 36 months on the lees, dosage 1-2 grams👌and ABV 12.5%.
