Charles Le Bel

Charles Krug

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Fruity nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry and fruit forward on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing blackberries, cooked cherries, raisins, cedar, dried fruits, vanilla, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices and light earth.

Long finish with soft tannins and cherries.

This 10 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is drinking beautifully now. Rich, elegant and fruit forward.

Drinking at its peak now. Nicely balanced and smooth, with a soft mouthfeel.

Delicious right out of the bottle, and even better after 30 minutes of airtime. I did not decant it, but let it open up in the bottle. Really enjoyed the nose after an hour of airtime.

Easy drinking, and good by itself as a sipping wine, or with a nice piece of steak.

A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc.

14.7% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2011

This is drinking so well. Nose of cassis, redcurrant, classic Margaux flowers, green peppercorn (Carmenere), crazy florals, just a masterful nose. Leather and glorious spice. Palate is wide and sleek, elegant and decadent than sharply concentrated and sweet. The tannins are sweet and aggressive but the fruit is extraordinary and in a few hours I see this being even more supple. Fantastic. — 15 days ago
