Colli Di Salerno, Salerno

Azienda Agricola Marino

Paestum Fiano 2019

Nice with a few years of age. The 14.5% does come through a bit more than I was hoping, though perhaps that also gives it the depth of body that I enjoy. Flowers, minerals, some bitterness, good acid. — 2 months ago

Montevetrano di Silvia Imparato 2017

A traditional Bordeaux style super Tuscan. What lovely wine. Spice and leather on the nose in this medium to full bodied wine, cherries, and earth tones define the pallet with a medium finish. — 4 months ago

9.5

Just awesome. Big and tannic but so elegant. More formal notes later. A beast. Needed a day and now it’s so juicy and full of red and black fruits. A beast but a sexy one. — 3 months ago

Azienda Agricola San Salvatore

Vetere Paestum Aglianico Rosato 2024

While in Napoli at an adorable bistro we ask for a local rosé recommendation, and this is what we got. So nice and light! On my nose a light floral bouquet with hints of arctic rose; perfect acidity. — 3 months ago

Tramonti Costa d'Amalfi White Blend 2022

80-100 yo vines.

Nose: subtly complex. Hard to pick out the components. Nice.

Palate: slightly crunchy minerals. Smoot rocks. Perfect lemon. Lemon flower internal aromatics.

Really a nice wine.

Furore Bianco Fiorduva Costa d'Amalfi White Blend 2016

Opened at least an hour prior to service. The 2016 Furore Bianco “Fiorduva” pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with beautiful notes of yellow and white flowers, quince, kumquat, and saline minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This wine is simply awesome. I’d love more of this in my life. Drink now. — 3 months ago
