Super interesting. Pigato is Vermentinos reclusive brother from Liguria. More dense mouth feel but not lacking minerality or balance. A 2016 Kermit Lunch selection has no funk just a really good white with hints of peach and salinity. Paired well with our oysters. Glad I dug this out and finally tried it. Looking forward to the next one in a year to see if he’s still holding up. — 8 days ago

My last bottle of the 2014 Bullnose and consistent with previous notes here on Delectable. Hawkes Bay is one of the best districts in NZ for Syrah and Cabernet. Hasn’t really evolved much from the first of 4 bottles I had in 2021. Still has the trademark black pepper and spice in what is essentially an elegant medium bodied wine without the fuller bodied blackberry and tar of nearby Trinity Hill Homage. — a month ago

The Sangiovese was out so we landed on this one. No regrets. Smells a bit astringent but with lots of vanilla and strawberry. Very fruity, medium bodied. A solid wine, especially for $18 at a restaurant. — 2 months ago

2019 Took some time to open but good nose and ruby colour excellent structure in mouth with good balance of berry flavours acidity and tannins

Hard to properly rate, was not decanted and not open long enough. Deep red & black fruit on the nose. The tannins are quite strong, this still needs time. It’s too young. But a lot of complexity under that. — 2 months ago
