Light gold color. Love the nose. A little toast/brown butter, wet straw, appley fruit, a little crushed stone. Straight down the middle on the palate. Good fruit intensity initially, then a little wood, with that limestoney/clay earthiness taking control in the back half of the finish, which is fairly long for a village wine. Decent (medium-low) acidity. Not for long ageing but really nice and a good value for a Cote de Beaune village white. — 5 months ago

Strawberries and perfume on the nose, medium body of bright cherries with a subsequent gentle kick of spice, clean tannins, and a subdued finish. NICE. — 6 years ago
I last did a Delectable note 210 weeks ago on 30 January 2022. Nothing much has changed in 4 years. Initially a red fruited varnishy note on the nose. Pale Ruby in colour - transparent in the glass. The palate has not gained in complexity after 11 years since production. Light to medium weight - muted nose and palate. My wine shop are the official importers of Dom Bellene through their import arm “Beaune and Beyond “. As one taster noted its structure emphasises the straightforward character of Nuits-St.- Georges (which possesses no Grand Crus. ) — 4 months ago
Slow oxed for 2/2 hours the wine simply knocked it out of the park with steak at Kuni in Tokyo — 6 months ago
Rich dark red fruit and tannic structure - a nice drink now but the wine will approve with age. — 8 months ago
Very bright. Pops. Very fluid. Awesome with salmon — 5 years ago
For the price, I wish it was more complex. But it’s definitely delicious juice — 5 years ago

Really well done in a lighter-styled red burg. Rather delicate and pure cherry scents, not too tart, not too oozy, accompanied by damp gravelly earth scents. In the mouth it’s very well balanced, fairly soft for such a young wine. Loads of high-toned crushed rock minerality in the savory but bright palate. The cherries are there but hanging back. Nice acidity! This is not for long cellaring but there’s no rush. A very nice roast chicken wine! (PS-one of the things I like about this domaine is that they put a lot of info about the wine on the side label, unusual for Burgundy producers.) — 5 months ago
Popped this about 20 minutes ago. Nose is already revving up. Showing earthy cherry cola scents, and a wee bit of toasted autumn spice (or maybe that latter thing is me sitting in the deck on this nice November evening surrounded by fallen leaves). Deep ripe, earthy fruit hits the palate immediately, and then the tannins take over. I know this is too young but I wanted to get a sense of its starting position. Palate clenches a bit after the first whack of fruit and a little astringent on the finish, but I think a couple of years rest will settle it down. Pretty solid 9.0 at present with potential to go a bit higher in a few years. — 8 months ago

I said in my last note in December 2020 have the last one in about 12 months. A cherry perfumed nose together with Sous Bois - a pleasant nose. A light to medium weight sweetish palate of no great complexity. A little disappointing for a 2009 Les Suchots. Not up to it for a $240 wine. — 5 years ago

Took 4.5 hours of open bottle for the wine to go into full bloom! Red cherry, blackberry, blueberry with a firm body and mid palate Abe a very nice finish! — 6 years ago

Just a tester to see if Waiting to Submit. Success! This was Crimson in colour. A lovely red fruited perfume. 100% whole bunch and 25% new oak. Lovely to drink, particularly for a Village wine, but it is Vosne-Romanee from a good vintage. — 2 months ago
