Love this wine. Gritty, deadlifts more than me. Nose is funky but also deeply fruited. Lovely “sous bois.” A nose from yesteryear. Wild florals, wet earth, stanky black cherry. Big, deep, thick blackberry fruit on the palate. Suave and also rustic tannins full of black cherry and blackberry fruit. Fresh. Needs air but full of character and so damn good. Huge spice on the nose today. Heavenly. Big time Xmas spice. Palate is all silk and decadent fruit. Glorious. — 3 months ago
Blend of the 1er Crus Sur La Velle, Champs Fulliots and La Taupine. Stunning nose of buttery mineral salty apples. So much minerality. So saline and clean. Palate is rich yet bracing with awesome acidity and freshness. So pure and drinks like a great Meursault. So elegant and lingers. Top shelf. Great spice on the nose. Wet earth. Terrific. So close to 9.5. Palate is gaining complexity. — 2 years ago
This comes out of the bottle fully charged up and swinging for the stands!
There is so much nose I wouldn't have pegged it as straight white Burgundy on nose alone - there's a feast under your nostrils of figs, ultra ripe bosc pears, caramel or maybe jaggery, hay or straw, and candied lemon peel 🍋
The texture is thick, regal and opulent.
A lingering finish that carries those straw, hay and lemon peel notes to the back of your mouth.

Always sultry, always glorious. Stanky late season cherry fruit, hint of barnyard funk that only adds allure. Palate is so full of fruit it’s ridiculous. Juicy and sleek, with unreal purity and freshness. 22 nails that freshness with decadence so well. Very pure and mineral. Wonderful tannins that suggest this is built for the long haul. Long finish. — 7 months ago
Gorgeous wine and 22’s are so good now. Black cherry and dark red cherry with just terrific clarity. Wild mint and limestone galore. Palate has glorious fruit and energy. Gained so much elegance since 2023. Sappy, chalky, mineral and pure. Velvet tannins on the mid palate and become chalky on the finish. Air will do wonders for this. Juicy and rustic but also elegant. Quite a needle this wine threads. — 5 months ago
Love this 1er Cru and these 2022’s are really coming into their own these last 2 months after being a bit hurly burly. Nose is deep cherry, wild mint, gorgeous florals and minerals but overall an impression of thoroughly ripe fruit. Palate is so juicy and sleek. Huge fruit. So deep and the vivid red cherry fruit soaks into the palate like a crash of waves. The white caps being the ripe and sweet tannins. Such a killer vintage for Laurent. This has the guts for 10-15 years of aging. So juicy. Can’t wait to see how air hits this. Watch this space. — 8 months ago

Rich. Salty. Delicious. Still 12-18 months young. Good with a decant. 1 hour. Great rich apple fruit. Spice. Elegant silky richness.
