Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2019 Hommage à “Marguerite” is a blend of three 1er cru vineyards in Saint-Aubin: Les Perrieres, Les Combes, Les Creots. The wine pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of green apple, lemon, starfruit, mixed white and yellow flowers, marzipan and chalky minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and there’s a lovely, creamy texture that accompanies the racy acidity. Lemon Yellow in colour. Aromatics of citrus, apple and white daisies (Barb). Very delicate on the palate with those aromatics of citrus and apple coming through with minerality. A touch of salinity to finish off. Like most PYCM bottles this is way too heavy. — 5 months ago
