With morel and asparagus pasta in shallot cream sauce — a year ago
Fruit forward. Dry finish. Would drink again. Purchased at Morel in Milwaukee. — 4 years ago
Raspberry vinaigrette to raspberry sorbet, cran-boysenberry, white mushroom explosion; great nose! Freeze dried strawberry and powdery grape, but herbaceous plenty throughout, with allspice and oregano and sprigs of kitchen sink. Raspberry both dried and reduced bring home the long finish! .

Elegant P-F but yet another one that J found fuller bodied and I found thin, plus that vaguely antiseptic nose and edge on the backend that I get from a lot of these...well short of the Vergelesses a few weeks ago....but then it is a P-F. Couldn’t stand up to roast chicken in creamy morel sauce, disappointingly — 5 years ago

trousseau, plousard and pinot. super light maceration—dark rosé territory. silky, fresh and soulful. white pepper and deeply fruited palate would lead me to pineau d'aunis in a blind. very nice way to end the night. — a year ago

Actually slightly disappointing for a (Roulot) '14. Drank alongside a '14 Wittmann Aulerde GG, and paired with a pasta with morel and green onion (light) cream sauce. Riper nose than I expected on a '14, with very, very soft noble reduction, but good minerality and lemon. In a very good place, but the Aulerde was the better pairing with the food by a longshot. Good density, but slightly thin on the finish. I think I preferred the '13 edition to this one... — 5 years ago
Deep ruby hue. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, black cherry, creme de cassis, vanilla, cedar, nutmeg, anise, earth, leather, morel mushroom. Well-integrated flavors and great balance. Lovely complement to a truffle-driven meal with chicken Kiev, risotto, and roasted asparagus. Happy (belated) Birthday @lizziehammes ♥️♥️♥️

Oops, forgot I had this in April. Drank alongside a '14 Roulot Bourg Blanc, and paired with a pasta with morel and scallion (light) cream sauce, with some seared scallops on top. This was far and away the better pairing, but it was fun to contrast the two '14s. With the cream sauce, the perceived acidity was perfect for my palate, so an excellent showing, really showcasing the minerality and citrus. Yeah it's Tuesday, but many pandemic-related restrictions were eased today here in cali. What that actually means remains to be seen... — 5 years ago
Zero dosage. Had this with dad from garagiste. Love it!!! Cremante because it comes from Jura — 6 years ago
Picking up a juiced pear on the nose today, but otherwise prior notes still apply:
Nose has ripe yellow apple, lightly oxidized green apple peel, baked phyllo dough, partially aromatic white flowers and damp rocks. I always get a natural wine vibe here, without the vinegar-like profile, but it seems alive!
Palate has baked green and yellow apple pastry, crisp acidity yet dense, candle wax begins on the finish and ends with dry granite. Great balance, very lengthy finish, clean and not cumbersome, superb vintage, long life ahead. We love you Jean-Jacques. — 6 years ago
