Totally unfamiliar with the producer. Somm dropped a glass off at my table, “Try”
Aromatically appealing with scents of cinnamon., cherry and clearly some whole cluster. All followed thru to the palate along with lots of spice and some black tea like tannin. Very nice wine but would consume over the next 2 years. — 7 months ago
2019 vintage at Signature restaurant; quintessential Pinot with a bit of barn p-funk, fruit forward, very smooth and medium body. Excellent finish and paired nicely with truffle risotto — 3 years ago
Needs time. Brawny and a lot of forest. Some big fruit. Didn’t seem integrated but all the pieces seem to be swirling around that it will be better with some more time. — a month ago
Light and fast. Fruit blackberry, raspberry, short pepper spice top of throat -2022 vintage "not old world" — 7 months ago
Northern rhone, cool climate California. Earth, blood, strawberries, boysenberry, menthol, rock. Very good with food. So different from Zaca Mesa I had last night. I like both for different reasons. — a year ago
Delicious. Classic Pinot expression but also cedar, spice, licorice. — 3 months ago
So well balanced. Good fruit, white pepper, plum, cherry and the stem. Excellent with meat for dinner. Lighter bodied for ca but still substantial. This is a crowd pleaser. — 10 months ago
2020 vintage. A tad earthier than the vast majority of Santa Rita Hills stuff I’ve ripped through. 13.5% ABV. Medium body. The expected SRH prettiness is front-loaded fruit with the dirtiness following on the finish. Excellent concentration and a whopping 75 cases made. — 3 years ago

John Howard
Harvest production at Hirsch and Cobb Wineries
Chablis esque in a great way. Very stemmy nose. Interesting and somewhat different. — 20 days ago
