Brilliant. Just brilliant. Nose is so round and luminous. Black, red cherry, spice, spicey oak, so complex and deep. The palate is just stunning. Soft and viscous with gorgeous satin like texture and juuuuuust short of sweet fruit and a bitter white chocolate note but finishes luscious and mineral. Terrific inner mouth aromas and such gorgeous delicate concentration and such fine tannins. Can’t wait to see what air does. So silky and sweet with air. Unreal texture. So elegant and just awesome fruit. Juicy and so clean. Mineral finish and such fine tannin. — 3 months ago
Have not had since the estate and wow this is insane. Unreal spice and mineral force. Overwhelming aromas and stunning wet earth. The gout de terroir is unreal. The decadence yet restraint is unreal. I could smell all day. Cherries on cherries on cherries. Cranberry bog, some light red currants. Just insane. Unreal finesse. Wow! Huge fruit soak and density. Massive structure and so pure. This always needs air and wow will this come alive after some air. Just stunning. 9.6 out of the gates. This got amazing after 2-3 hours and was all silk and satin with squeegee levels of red and black cherry fruit. I bet it will be even better tonight. — 7 months ago
So so dense. So tight. So coiled. So elegant. So concentrated. Structured. Checking in tomorrow. Nose is so floral, a day later. Very mineral and so expressive. Palate is enormously complex, chewy and dense. My goodness the density of this wine is just insane. It’s barely budged overnight. Fleshier, yes but also there still is more to come. Day 3 awaits. — a year ago
Grand Cru B. Ridiculous wine. Sweet, structured, pure and elegant, with insane mid-palate texture, richness, length and juiciness. Huge concentration, a shock of red fruit that cascades across the palate, and a mineral, super-bright finish. Icing-on-cake texture. Wow. — 4 days ago
Insane nose of pear, mineral, spice and pitted fruit. The palate is so elegant, opulent and pure, but the opulence is never vulgar. Completely controlled, with unreal fruit sap, fruit skin, pear intensity, purity and length. Just absurd. — 4 days ago
Terrific sparkling wine and probably the best non-French sparkling wine I have had. Beautiful Pinot Noir character, fine fruit, excellent balance, and real depth. The mousse could be a little finer, especially coming directly off a run of elite Champagne, but that is a very high-class problem. As the wine opened, the purity and precision became more apparent. Outstanding sparkling wine, even if the Swiss tax prevents it from quite reaching the level of the very best Champagnes — a month ago
Gorgeous and plump. Haven’t had since barrel. Like a Pomerol. White chocolate, red berry, pepper and a hint of gorgeous swiss florals and herbals. Palate is so plump, juicy and super fresh. Just incisive and clear plummy fed fruit and so much mineral freshness. Clearly leads some air but just a stunningly complex wine. — 6 months ago
Nose is hyper floral. Melon, wild mint, savory, MT on steroids yet lyrical. Stunning, sappy, deep, loads of dry extract, unreal density and juiciness. Such succulence, freshness, density and dry extract but with powerful fruit clarity. Love the bitter citrus pith on the finish. — 10 months ago
Nose is like Chablis crossed with Meursault. Gorgeous notes of seashells, iodine, vanilla extract, airy salinity and light butter. Gorgeous and clean. Wow the palate really delivers. Complex and deep and wonderful texture and mouthfeel with gorgeous minerals. So complex. Really juicy and great depth and weight. Just a gorgeous wine and has that added level of Swiss precision. — 2 years ago
A mineral blizzard. Reductive, fresh and classy, smelling like a scene in nature. The finish blasts the palate with minerals. Utterly insane texture, purity and intensity, with juicy cranberry-like snap beneath the Chardonnay. One of the greatest Chardonnays I’ve tasted. — 4 days ago
Fresh and bright. Full gas tannins. But these lighten up after 30 min in decanter. Tight but expressive nose. It gives Pinot but special. I’d buy more — a month ago
Brilliant showing. Brambly red cherries and red berries. Loads of spice and Alpine charm. Fresh grasses, flowers and more. Frankly amazing spice. Palate is fresh and teeming with energy. Opulent and juicy but tense. Generous but electric. A terrific showing. Even better on day 2 with soaring aromas and unreal juiciness. — 6 months ago
I’ve had Wegelin’s Brut and Chardonnay before, but this is my first red (Blauburgunder = Pinot Noir). Very nice! Quite closed and overly young at first, but it starts to open quickly. Tart cherry and currant, focused acidity and mineral dryness. Medium body, 13% abv. Tasting it with Bresaola, which is similar to Bündnerfleisch from Graubünden. Perfect pairing! Will see how this develops. @Lyle Fass
Follow up a couple hours later: the fruit shows much more with dry blueberries and raspberries under the acidity. Prime drinking after 3+ hours. — a year ago

Grand Cru A. Ridiculous. My God, the concentration. So red-fruited, elegant and complex, with hauntingly complete aromas, gorgeous lift and depth, insane inner-mouth aromatics and outrageous fruit purity. The depth and texture are beyond the scale. Beyond. — 4 days ago
