Black cherry, coco, and coffee notes on the nose are seductive and indicative of the relative youth of this vintage. On the sip, all those flavors come through, especially the black cherry. In addition some black plum, tobacco and vanilla come through. Yum! — 5 years ago

Elegant and expressive with a beautiful bouquet. It shows lovely purity and finesse. Black raspberries, red flowers, a touch of reduction, exotic spices and roasted herbs. It shows no “green” of the vintage and the subtle herbal quality is seamlessly integrated and only adds to complexity. It’s not at all thin, and it has great intensity, yet simultaneously it’s weightless and it just floats on the palate. Finishes long with vibrance and lift.
