Vintage 2001| Proof of a long life for riesling. The colour was really brown, mahony brown. Smell with a very little petrol, more honey. That honey is also present in the taste. Good balanced. Killing this with my dad. He says my Mom would have loved this wine. She did enjoy Gewurtztraminer. This is very nice. Some stonyness, honey-like, musty. Clean finish. I’m not a huge Gewurtz fan, but this hits. — 6 months ago

Pale yellow with nose of stone fruit and honey. Smooth on the way down with lychee honey on the palate. Not as intense as the zind humbrecht from the night before. Paired well with scallops and Dover sole. Another good Alsace product. — 5 years ago

Fantastic - if you’re going to grow Gewurtztraminer, this should be the result. Amazing floral nose, deep colour, basically every yellow fruit imaginable at the attack and then a beautifully complex balanced finish that lasts forever. The crowd was very pleased — 7 years ago
