No ratings on this wine in a while it seems. The 2024 vintage is quite quaffable, although more tannin than I’d expect in a carbonic wine. Perhaps semi-carbonic, with some time on that 100% whole cluster following the carbonic maceration? A very enjoyable wine though, fruit forward as you’d expect from carbonic but with more structure and grip. Well made. — 4 months ago
Light body, yet rich in flavor. Smooth, with no distracting notes or aftertaste. A nice vintage—great with a light meal, charcuterie, or dessert — 7 months ago

2017 vintage. Opened off the list for the Friday Lunch Bunch (FLB). Decanted and tasted after 45 minutes. Medium body. In a state of transition whereas the initially big fruit and body are thinning out. Dropped some tannins but picked up some Burgundian-styled, younger tartness-think pomegranate/cranberry. Earthy, leaner nose. 2.27.26. — 4 months ago

Super drinkable red - dark autumn fruits, light and juicy. Super nice! — 8 months ago
Popped and poured; consumed over two days. Consistent throughout. The 2020 Alain Graillot pours a deep ruby with a hit of violet. Medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. Some slight signs of fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is moderate intensity. Fresh black bramble fruit, baked/smoked blueberries, dry oil cured black olives, black pepper, lavender potpourri, dried herb encrusted saucisson, stony minerals and subtle baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry; medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes on the nose. The finish is so long with a streak of minerals. The body is medium but the fruit is so grippy and clings to the palate giving the impression that it’s bigger than it is. Maxime said that they had picked way early compared to previous, recent years and completed harvest by September 3rd; a whole week before their neighbors began harvest. It shows. Remarkably fresh. Lovely. Utterly beautiful. Drink now with patience (and to enjoy the full-send freshness) or enjoy over the next 15+ years. Alain’s legacy seems to be in very good hands. — 3 years ago
