The 2019 edition of this wine seems looser, lower in acid, and more on the savory side than usual. Scorched earth and very pure, spicy Zin blackberry fruit on the nose. Round and and soft in the mouth. Up-front Zin fruit quickly gives way to more savory elements. A slight bitterish note, not unpleasant, as the finish progresses. Unlike other Storybook Zins, I’d drink this one sooner rather than later. — 23 days ago

A popular US import here in Zürich, at least with my family. Had it many times, very consistent. Solid Cab, very bold and fruit-forward, a little syrupy, some red licorice. Some haters on Delectable, but it never let me down. Very grill-worthy with plenty of smoked meats. — 13 days ago

This rocked! Refined yet complex. 1hr+ decant. Dark red color. Dark, sweet cherries on the nose. On the palate it reminded me of Pontet Canet and Gargiulo. Fairly big, deep wine. Ample sweetness = dessert in a glass! — a month ago

Really great. Needs about 3 hours of air. So well balanced. A lot of cocoa, blackberry, garden dirt, some tree bark, some chocolate cherries, but very dark, some menthol in the background, long finish, almost coffee and cocoa, some fruits as well. Outstanding! — 14 days ago
