Punta Crena

Vigneto Isasco Riviera Ligure di Ponente Rossese 2023

Delightfully rustic. Wild strawberry, cranberry, red cherry, and sage. Light to medium bodied. Tannins are silky smooth. Would pair beautifully with grilled fish, roast poultry, or a rustic pizza. — 16 hours ago

Very nice. Better on day 2 than day 1 - at first quite reserved. But on day 2 expresses quite nicely. White fruits and flowers, rather linear, good persistence and acid. Fairly priced at $35, I’d say. — 2 months ago

The “Nebbiolo of Liguria” as the locals refer to it. Light and aromatic with a floral nose and a juicy palate of pomegranate seeds. Serve with a chill and pair with charred octopus. — 6 months ago

Gotta open a Ligurian red with a bowl of fresh garden pesto pasta. Fresh red fruit, grapefruit rind, and crushed rocks. Fresh, zingy, pretty good flavor intensity, great acids. Summertime! — 8 months ago

Classic light, refreshing, zingy Rossese. Crunchy berries and a little grapefruit flesh in the slightly bitter finish. — 3 months ago

Still drinking through Italy. This week's stop: Ligurian coast. A bit funky, a bit racy, a bit fruity. Whille cold, aromas of wild fennel, herbs, pine forests, sea brine, and olive groves--basically everything you find in the DOC. As the wine warms, dried apricot and citrus begin to emerge. Definitely a fun geek wine. — 9 months ago
