Fris lekker droog en verrassend. Heerlijk. — 5 years ago
The wine producer Poggio dei Gorleri, from the small hamlet Gorleri, is located high above the Ligurian coast near Imperia, called the Ligure di Ponente, Italy. The producers’ focus is predominantly on the Pigato grape, delivering minerally, white fruit, very fresh white wines. This Shalok stands out from the white wines produced. Made of 100% Granaccia/Grenache/Alicante, this wine is bursting with red fruits. Quite dark with flavours of berry/blackberry fruit, some chocolate, some wood, with very smooth tannines. Only 1,122 bottles produced. — 5 years ago
A nice pigato from Liguria. Floral on the nose, medium bodied, medium acid on the finish. But more interesting than that suggests somehow - just a nice wine. — 6 years ago

Super interesting. Pigato is Vermentinos reclusive brother from Liguria. More dense mouth feel but not lacking minerality or balance. A 2016 Kermit Lunch selection has no funk just a really good white with hints of peach and salinity. Paired well with our oysters. Glad I dug this out and finally tried it. Looking forward to the next one in a year to see if he’s still holding up. — 4 days ago
