We had the 2019 Vintage on 7/26-27/25. Nice bouquet and palate of black cherry, strawberry and cardomom. Beautiful mouthfeel. New World. Would easily buy more. Classic tastes and aromas of SLH. — 8 months ago
Hailing from one of the premier sites in the Santa Lucia Highlands, planted in 1996, the 2022 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard is flat-out gorgeous. Beautifully rendered, it boasts generous fruit density, crystal-clear delineation of flavors and bracing structure. Fully destemmed, the 2022 finishes with a ton of persistence in its dark berry flavors, even darker cherry, black licorice and black sage. The 2022 leaves behind a fine web of powdery tannins, neatly wrapped up with a little bow on top, concentrated, effusive, and ready to rock. What a complete package. This may be the red wine of the vintage in the SLH. (Billy Norris, Vinous, August 2024)

We had the 2021 Vintage on 1/29-30/26. A real good PN with darker tones. Black cherry, black raspberry and cardamom. Smooth, medium bodied, nice mouthfeel. Tannins all smoothed out. Fruit forward — 2 months ago
Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of black plum, blackberries, and leather; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of strawberries, blackberry jam, and crushed gravel with a long finish. This wine is balanced (the alcohol is well integrated. I did not taste how high it is), intense, and complex. Overall, I rate this wine as outstanding. Nellie likes it, too. — 6 months ago

Last bit from the bottle. Orange color. Smokey and woody. Kept very well for all those years — 9 days ago
