Cork broke into two pieces, but got the bottom 1/3 carefully using a standard French waiter, no cork was left in the bottle. Color looks quite youthful for a 36-year-old Grand Cru Chablis, initially some SO2/matchstick aromas, but they blew off quickly. Followed by lemon, mineral, flavors are similar, perfect, lively acidity, great persistence and length, for Chablis I suppose 1990 was a warmer vintage (13.5% ABV), but this bottle is amazing and almost perfect, WOW!!’ — 4 days ago

Pale yellow color. Smells very citrusy and tropical, with a hint of some creaminess. On the first taste it was very bright, but had a richness on the finish. Definitely fruit forward, leans heavily towards tropical fruits like pineapple in the beginning. Has mineral/earthy notes towards the end. Very clean and dry. I really like this wine. Very pretty color of peach with a salmon hue.

Strong nose of apples, citrus, peaches, yeast, light bread and minerals.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and tiny bubbles.

Dry on the palate with raspberries, over ripen strawberries, apples, limes, yeast, sea salt, brioche, spices, minerals, light earth and cardamom.

Long spicy finish with limes and grapefruits.

This 14 year old Rosé Champagne is drinking beautifully already, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Elegant, spicy and rich. Fruity and nicely balanced, complex and engaging.

Wine Spectator 96 points. Wine Advocate 95 points.

Good right out of the bottle, and better when not too cold.

A great sipping wine that paired beautifully with my Tuna Avocado Tartare.

A blend of 67% Pinot Noir and 33% Chardonnay, with 5% red wine. Disgorged in 2020.

I love champagne, but the only thing I love more than champagne is free champagne. Was this great because it’s great, or was it great because it was free and unlimited? Does it matter? Super rich and toasty, but still maintains a bright acidity and freshness. I definitely get the classic brioche note, along with apple and citrus. Feels more complex and has more depth than some other champagnes I have tasted. Super crisp and refreshing, but has a richness that makes it feel indulgent. — 2 months ago

The final bottle for our annual Valentine’s Day and carbonara tradition (this time one day early). We skipped last year as my wife was pregnant, nice to be back. Very good, but definitely in an advanced stage - the nuttiness really comes through. There is still great acid, lemon curd, crispness, soft bubbles.

After the full case, I’d say the ones from 2021-2023 were the best.
