Great fruit, with some nice earthy notes β 5 years ago
Beautiful nose of Kirsch; loaded with sweet, dark fruit β cherry herring stands out β and minerality with mild acidity. Not as deep and complex as some vintages, lacking the garrigue and pepper elements. Still, a very good Syrah. β 2 months ago
On the richer side but with terrific acidity on the finish. Very good. β 5 months ago
Respectable night cap β 3 years ago
I have often struggled to appreciate Roussanne as it often lacks the acidity that I prefer in white wines. That being said, I always keep an open mind and experiences like this are the reason why. As a pairing, this was absolutely perfect with our seafood boil. Richly floral with stone fruits and nuts. A wine of texture with an undeniable oily-ness about it. The finish lasted 15-20 seconds; just long enough for the next bite of crab, lobster or shrimp. Repeat. This was markedly better than the first bottle we had a couple years back and I have to believe a little cellar time and the right food made the difference. β 5 years ago

Crossfork Creek β Cabernet Sauvignon 2021, Yakima Valley (Sheridan Vineyard), Washington, USA πΊπΈ
Overview
A polished, elegant Yakima Cabernet showing classic Sheridan Vineyard finesse. Structured yet supple, with cassis-driven depth, dark fruit richness, and a cool-climate herbal lift that feels both refined and quietly powerful. Tastes far more expensive than it is.
Aromas & Flavors
Cassis, black plum, blackberry, subtle mint, eucalyptus, cocoa, graphite, and light oak spice.
Mouthfeel
Medium-plus to full-bodied with silky tannins and excellent balance. Lush but not heavy, smooth and layered, finishing long and composed.
Food Pairings
Grilled ribeye, lamb chops, rosemary chicken, mushroom risotto, aged cheddar, or slow-braised short ribs.
Verdict
Beautifully made and genuinely elegant. Complex, expressive, and harmonious without excess weight. A terrific example of Washington Cabernet that delivers both power and finesse.
