Brilliant showing. So much energy and unreal inner mouth perfume. Nose is all roses and tar. Cherries will develop. Drinking perfectly. Huge concentration and depth. Awesome mid season cherry fruit and a terrific finish. — 5 months ago
Chianti Classico tasting 🇮🇹 @ Ai Fiori — 5 months ago
Brick red w rose petal and hint of balsamic. Showing more age than I would have expected. But delicious — 7 months ago
Nose - Plum, candied orange, peat moss and wood. Mouthfeel - Velvety smooth up front, ending in a subtle pleasant astringency. Main flavors - Stone fruit and earth with a delicate acidic ending with a touch of dryness, like you get when you lick the pit of a nectarine, peach or plum. Overall - a gorgeously complex and lovely Pinot!! 1 million out of 10! — a month ago
Etna: Poured into a decanter about an hour prior to service; enjoyed over the course of dinner. The 2021 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears and some fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with Bing cherry, Asian five spice, porchini, oregano, crushed gravel and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Another stunner from this incredible, own-rooted parcel in the Calderara Sottana contrada featuring vines over 140 years old. Insane. Drink now with some air and through 2041. — 2 months ago
First bottle three years ago had more energy. Went sour on day 2. — 6 months ago

Needs a little bit of air. Red fruit that at first seems over extracted and then mellows a bit to reveal some mushroom earthy notes — a year ago
Very and a surprise. Not too cold. — 2 months ago
Wow, it started slow, wasn’t sure which way it would go, it slowly opened up to reveal a 10/10 balance, structure, length and energy. Made me really savor the last 1/3 of the bottle! — 2 months ago
An absolute delightful Nebbiolo with bright vibrant red showing through, fabulous nose, and a wide array of spice and herbs. Just coming into its best window with easily 20 more years to enjoy. Pleasant surprise of complexity and easy drinking. Begs for duck on the plate. — 7 months ago

2013 vintage. Last tasted 11.1.24 (9.6). Decanted (small amount of sed) and tasted after 30 minutes, 1.5 hours and 3 hours. Still built for the long haul...like a quarter century+. Super floral and pretty nose this visit. Biggie, Brutalist architecture with sadistic infrastructure. Yes please! 9.26.26. — 5 days ago
