Dark amber. Treacle, toffee, and tangelo on the inviting nose and full, rich palate. "Rich" meaning "sweet," of course, but well balanced with medium, citrusy acidity. Naturally, a lengthy finish. You got cheese? Nuts? Dried fruit? Here's your fourth for dessert. Drink now through whenever. — 8 months ago
Another bottle I forgot to get a picture of in situ. Made from Tinta Negra in canteiro. A caramel glaze about to burned brown color, veering into golden brown at the rim. Utterly mouthwatering (and I should say nose quivering) aromas of caramel, brown sugar, sugarcane, molasses, coffee, and dark chocolate, plus a hint of earth and smoke. It is sweet, oh yes, it is, but the acid is bracing. The palate confirms the nose with the addition of caramelized grapefruit, figs, dates and cocoa. Geez Louise, it’s good. Almost cola on the finish. — 2 years ago

.175 ml bottle. Dry Madeira. Pleasant. A native Maderian told me recently that Barbeito is middling so I’m probably biased. — 5 months ago
Straw colored. Sweet citrus aromas. Full bodied, ripe, citrus flavors. Hint of bitter almonds. Nice acidity. Long finish.
Very nice Sicilian white wine.

Just a half step behind the 2021, my favorite vintage of this wine! A Barolo all but in name! — 6 months ago
Notes of balsam & herbs and black, cherry blackberry fruit. Round, soft supple, warm with spice and licorice. Well integrated tannins. Drink now or hold. Excellent. — 8 months ago
Such deep red cherry flavors come through, but balanced with some nice earthiness. Amazing wine for the price. — 3 years ago

Salmon color. It is a rosé but drinks more like an orange. Great acidity and complexity. Light red fruits. — 2 months ago
