Soft flex for Norman. This bottle of 15-year was not up to par, unfortunately. It lacked complexity and a lot of the typical flavor profile elements. It tasted hotter than usual, and there was a fair amount of peat, which is not right. Still, it beats Jim Beam.

Rowan’s Creek - vanilla. Smooth. Bartender said it was the master distiller’s favorite Willett because “it tastes like bourbon.” — 18 days ago

2015 vintage. I last tasted this 2 years ago, and today it is fully mature, the tannins have softened, and the wine has gained in complexity and elegance. But I don't see this getting any better,so drink asap. Moreover,it sells for a song. Balvenie Doublewood 12yr - the nose is light with a hint of wood. On the palate you get a bit more power and a full mouth warmth. Finish gives you more of that wood and heat. It’s a good, easy drinker. Won’t go out of my way to get but wouldn’t feel bad if given a dram. — 5 months ago

Birth year tastings, evening 3.
Red and black fruit, warm pebbles, beautifully perfumed. Detailed and unassuming, yet with quite a lot to say. Still fresh and full of promise. After a few minutes of swirling in the glass, it retreats back into its shell. Elegant, understated, and balanced. — 4 days ago
