Dark Ruby with dark berry fruit aromas adding earthy spice and cedar. On the palate this wine has complex flavors of blackberry and blueberry with licorice, cacao, oak and vanilla. Fine dusty tannins, peasant mouthfeel, full-bodied, long ending with a nice earthy spice finish. Aging well, good now, has room to run over short term. — 7 months ago
Don’t know how this one escaped my attention for so long, but I get why it’s so well loved. Ridiculous QPR. At the risk of both revealing my ignorance and offending everyone, I reckon this is the drink Stanley Dry White cask (a seminal drop in my existence, and fellow Australian cheapo icon) aspires to be. Whistle-clean citrusy drinker with intensity right round the edges. Cellaring a few of these from now on. — 5 years ago
Opaque dark purple color. This wine took a while to open up. Not that great right out of the bottle but this wine developed with some air. Aromas were very savory and organic. (Violets, cedar, bramble and just a hint of blackberry). Blueberry , Blackberry and dark plum fruit flavors evolved with time. Not the fruit bomb I was expecting. Nice hint of smokey oak on the finish. — 4 years ago
One of my favorite #orange wines. Hazy, cidery, juicy, totally funky skin contact vibes. Doesn’t suffer from being overly dry like some organes. Stock up for summer as it doesn’t suffer in flavour when it warms slightly on a hot afternoon. — 5 years ago
