Intense and fresh aromas of orange blossoms, citrus and honey. Crisp and elegant; round with balanced acidity. Whenever you uncork a Buenos Aires wine, you will be transported to streets filled with bohemian style neighborhoods overflowing with poetry and colors. You’ll discover wines that seem to sing tangos full of verses inviting you to dance. Welcome to the place where cultures merge together. Splash wines. — 5 years ago
I made this wine. Amazing how she persists! — 6 years ago
The 2015 gets all up in your face with some rather, uh, aggressive odors. We’ve been assured via some focused keyword googling that this is probably due to the Brettanomyces not being filtered out, and completely in-line with the au naturel dogma of Riberach. So, with that mystery solved, this wine is hands down a personal favorite. Meaty and full bodied with enough pep to keep the taste buds entertained. I’m not even afraid to admit I might actually like the “bohemian” bouquet... — 5 years ago
Once again I indulge in this pretty sin... Cherry, almond, Raisin, pencil lead, maybe chocolate too? The palate is tremendous : it goes in every direction with a huge acid backbone, a superlative width, a dense and silky matter with a soft touch on the sides, a bright fruit which shows off all along, a bit of drying tannins that kick off a fantastic finish with fruit, a bit of bitterness, some raisins and a indisputable length. Man I love this one. This is bohemian rhapsody by Queen — 5 years ago

This wine was produced when Led Zeppelin released Kashmir, and Queen released Bohemian Rhapsody. Letting that sink in as I swirl the glass.
The cork was slightly depressed, and it fell apart, so I had to do some first aid. All is well. The wine pours out a very deep garnet at its core, with tawny edges. So far so good.
The nose is old, and I was afraid of the musty notes, but I think it's healthy tertiary aromas, not spoilage. Mushroom and forest floor. I don't have a lot of experience with 50 year old wine. Hey, I was made the same year this wine was!
The palette is excellent. Plenty of fruit present.. cherry, candied apricot, slate, and Flintstone vitamins. It tastes young! If I had this blind I would guess it's 20 years old.
No sediment or silt. This still has hefty acidity and lingering, cedar-like tannins. Crazy. I've had current bottles bottles of Chateau Caruel, which is an inexpensive wine, and they just don't make them like they used to. This wine is legitimately elegant and delicious. 30 minutes in, and I'm wondering where I can buy a case. What a fun experience!
