2015 vintage, great Chianti Classico Reserva. Perfect balance, light bouquet full flavor but not fruity, smooth tannins, superb on the palate and edible finish. Estate bottled, among the best of the grape we've had. — 8 years ago

Another great Alto Piemonte producer that needs to be on your nebbiolo radar!
Drank over two days, this really got going on day two with the structure and typicity of Nebbiolo coming through. Day one it drank a little more primary, velvety fresh with rich red fruits, florals, and a softer feel to the texture - extremely enjoyable! Day 2 the structure of the tannin and acidity really came through, with the nose ratcheting things up with roses, currants, a touch of tar, spices and blood orange peel. Texturally it gained fortitude as well with everything perfectly integrated and in harmony.
Definitely getting more!
From the family at Isole e Olena in Castellare Chianti Classico in Tuscany - the family is of Piemonte in origin and this is the legacy of the family there in Coste della Sesia. — 4 years ago
100% Merlot. Full-bodied, lots of dark fruit, sweetness combined with good acidity and velvety tannins. Great wine! — 7 years ago
Blend of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaolo, medium Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, floral and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of sour cherry, currant and raspberry with tobacco, baking spices and nutty notes. Fine rustic tannins, vivid acidity, medium finish ending with fruit and earthy spice. Good now and short-term age as well! — 3 months ago
Great, well balanced blend. Thanksgiving bottle #1. — 4 years ago
Decent Sangiovese blend from Tuscany. Fruit forward and delicious with spicy notes like black currant and plum. Not my favorite Tuscan in the $30-50 range — 5 years ago
Lovely full bodied Chianti Classico Riserva still tannic on the palate and could age at least another 5 years. Very indicative of the region of Castellina in Chianti with the addition of 10% Merlot for smoothness and body. Unfortunately my last bottle of the 2008 vintage. Drinking in May, 2020. — 6 years ago
Took awhile. Silky. Reviewer below with the long review nailed it. — 7 years ago
