Barnhill, Otagu perhaps the home of NZ PN, and boy this one doesn't let you down. Sam Neill name behind this, classic PN, cherry, tabac, berries galore, mirrored to many a French PN but so much better. — 3 years ago
On the nose this never going to get mistaken for anything but riesling. You get a hit of that petrol/plastic beachball smell as well as mossy rocks and lemon peel. Palate is off dry with honey drizzled lemon and very ripe pear. Nice medium acidity keeps the balance in check with a hint of those petrol notes.
A little sweeter than what I was expecting, but still a tasty, clean wine. — 5 years ago
Delicious. Milder than cloudy bay, but very refreshing. — a month ago
Agree with the review below - my husband and I were introduced to this wine at a restaurant in the South Island when we said we wanted “A Pinot for Cabernet - or more full bodied red - wine lovers! — 5 months ago
Bought in Wanaka, best wine out of all the ones during the wine tasting. Delicious!!
Saved the bottle and drank 4 years later, was a little tangy. We probably left it too long. Still really nice though! — 4 years ago
