Complex for a white, quite a mouthful. Great time drinking while watching Drag Race. — 11 years ago
Concentrated and mineral expression of Pinot Noir in the Loire. Beautiful melted acidity with primary notes of raspberries/cerises. Body and finish on floral, herbaceous and earthy notes. Persistent tanins in finesse. Beautiful musk and spicy notes. Superb in this price range. — 5 years ago
In a blind tasting this could easily be confused with a NZ Sauv Blanc....there are a number of tasting similarities...except NZ continues to struggle to produce this level of sophistication. (Just down the road from Sancerre, this Menetou-Salon is a lovely, lovely wine.) — 7 years ago
Another star in Rosenthal book but I’m a bit puzzled by the muted enthusiasm on Delectable. Sure, not the last word on complexity but what glory in classic chard & Macon notes. Rich & minerally mouthfeel, balanced. Yeah, for less than 15$ local. So what’s the problem? — 8 years ago
Beautifully developed bouquet of bisquit and caramel? Long long finish. A treat. — 9 years ago
Interesting Rhone White Blend. Roussane, Grenache and Viognier. Citrus and floral notes on the nose. Lemon and limes along with an herbaceous note on the pallet. Creamy texture with a lot of acidity. Nice! — 10 years ago
Tannins very strong yet, with some protein or aged for 10 years or so would be lovely.! — 10 years ago
This and the Roederer L'Ermitage are about as good as it gets for CA sparkling. — 12 years ago
