Château Tour St. Bonnet

Château Tour Saint-Christophe

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

9.4

The nose opens with waves of ripe black cherry, cassis, plum liqueur, and dark chocolate Beneath the opulence lies impressive complexity with hints of espresso, violets, and peppery spice emerge gradually with air. The palate is dense and supple, showing warmth and generosity. Plenty of nuance beneath the lavish fruit.

Possibly the best value for a St-Emilion GCC. Will need to seek out more.

Sounds awesome! I’ve been wanting to explore more Right Bank. Sounds like a good one at a reasonable price.

@Joel Lara For around $40, I think you will be happy with the purchase.

Château Tour de Pez

Cru Bourgeois St. Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2020

No notes, just nosing again. Tar, black currant, oak, a bit of meat juice. Very meaty, yet with a nice underlying black fruit note and a great acid drive. Very well made and great balance. — 6 months ago

Château La Tour du Pin Figeac

Moueix St. Emilion Red Bordeaux Blend 1985

1985 vintage. A nice surprise and another testimony to the ageing potential of the great 1985 vintage. Still a solid colour at 37 years old. Smoke and cedar wood, good concentration of dried fruits and spices. There is complexity and length, well worth seeking out if you like older wines. — 4 years ago

Château Tour Grand Faurie

St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

Young St. Emilion blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Red berries, plum and smoky notes. Medium to full bodied, chrisp acidity and some heat from alcohol. Still a little bit off, needs year or two to settle down. Don’t know can I wait so long for this very decent wine with excelent value. — 7 years ago

Oak and spice aromas. Lots of oak. Darker red fruit and some black, lots of oak spice on the palate. Way too young right now. — 7 years ago

Very good white wine. Doesn't have that artificial taste some whites do. — 5 years ago

Château Tour de Lagarde

St. Émilion Grand Cru 2009

Deep garnet purple in the glass. Abundant nose of cassis and graphite, echoed on the palate with a bit of additional black fruit. Medium acidity. Medium tannins. Lengthy, dark finish. Classic right bank Bordeaux that’s drinking very well now, but still has a few good years left. Filet with Bordelaise is a natural, but work your way out from there. — 7 years ago
