Delicious perfectly paired with dinner — 8 years ago
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The wine has balance of acidity, tannins and body. Aromas of bay leave, ripe plum and cigar box. I enjoyed this wine with grilled lamb. — 9 years ago
Really liked it. Smooth and good on its own or with vegetables. — 9 years ago

2022 vintage. La Fleur des Pins, Graves, from the owners of Haut-Bergeron in Sauternes. 50% Sémillon with equal parts of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris. Sémillon dominates the nose. Exotic fruit and citrus. Bright, fresh and juicy. Round mouthfeel and good length. Very good value. — a year ago
On the bigger-framed and riper side, which is usually not my preferred style, but it’s pretty good nonetheless. Nose shows ripe dark fruit, and a tiny bit of dark ,chocolate, but that’s redeemed by nice dark olivey notes and deep stony minerality. Rich and very southern Rhone-like in the mouth, the richness again redeemed by the minerality. Would I have preferred they picked a little earlier? Sure. But this still is quite good. 40% Carignane, 30% Syrah, 30% Grenache. — 3 years ago

Super cool — 6 years ago
Young and should have never ordered this along side of Haut Brion. It was a distant back up to the Chateau Margaux, which sold just before we could lock it down! Probably above average by itself, but tonight it was mediocre with the other wines. — 8 years ago
Surprisingly rich for a bdx listing 12.5% abv. — 9 years ago

2019 vintage. From 30 hectares in Haut-Medoc, owned by the Quié family ( also Rauzan-Gassies and Croizet-Bages). A fine effort, showing that the Quié family is finally serious about quality, after decades of mediocrity. Much more evolved in colour compared to the 2019 Moulin de La Lagune tasted alongside. Ripe, slightly jammy fruit. Serve slightly cold to keep the high alcohol ( 15% abv.) in check. — 3 years ago
I really regret opening this and wish I had kept racked, but the fruit was bright, almost jammy. Light on tannins, alcohol medium, very smooth. Also a great French red. — 5 years ago
2011. Really well balanced. Some meaty and savory herbal aromas that are very nice. Medium light body, but should go well with the roast I have in the oven. Thank you for the bottle @Paul Krzych! — 7 years ago

Wine estate : Romain Papilloud
Designation : Vétroz (AOC Valais)
Name : Amigne Grand Cru de Vétroz
Country : Switzerland
Vivino : 4/5
Note : Romain Papilloud, self-made-man, became a winemaker in 1979 and owner in 1987. The majority of his vineyard is located in Vétroz (Valais, Switzerland). We will observe on the top of the bottle 1 to 3 bees which represents the sugar content (A bee means 0 to 8 grams).
With a yellow robe, the nose of this amine is rich with flavors of citrus (tangerine) and honey. On the palate, a beautiful structure with apricot flavors and a delicacy in the end.
----------

2018 vintage. Owned by the same family since 1870, until the fifth generation, Lionel Poitou sold this 10 hectares estate to 3 Israeli winemakers. La Tour du Haut Moulin has a long reputation for value for money, and this 2018 is no exception. Solid dark red colour with only a little evolution. In the mouth it features a serious black fruit concentration, balanced by fresh acidity and a serious tannic backbone, while avoiding the alcohol heath that sometimes characterises this hot vintage. It has an old school slightly rustic feel about it, but it's incredible value for money. Drinking very well now, but no need to hurry, I am convinced it will last at least for another decade. I found this in a local supermarket for 8,09 euro, I kid you not! Life is fine for wine lovers in the Bordeaux region. Abv. 13,5%. I am curious to see what the new owners will achieve with this estate, there should be huge potential . — 4 months ago
