Enjoyed this Chardonnay. Very potent so if you’re looking for something subtle and balanced this isn’t it. Quite acidic, high minerality, and TONS of cantaloupe. Interesting though would love to have again and try with food. — 5 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2020 pours a bright straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with beautiful, lifted notes of ripe tropical fruit; pineapple, star fruit, passion fruit, lemon, freshly struck match, white flowers, gentle warm spices and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This is an excellent village wine and love the style. A blend of Scheurebe and 3 Muscat varieties, 4 months skin contact, fermented on the lees.
Exotic nose with lychee, flowers in bloom, a bit of mango & guava, with some nice funk and brilliant freshness.
Great energy on the palate, bone dry and with nice, chalky minerality under the juicy acidity, a touch of tannins, great purity & flow.

Tasted blind. Medium gold, heavy. Great leesy lemon nose. Some honey and white stone too. Very tight, with Chablis-like intensity/acidity. Seems young. I go with 02 Raveneau MdT as a guess.
