Smokey and fruity. Thick and rich, rather concentrated for a Gamay. — 5 months ago
2013 vintage. The second wine of La Chapelle, that is now named " Maison Bleue", but an excellent wine in its own right. At 9 years old this is absolutely gorgeous with an expressive nose of blackberries, wild flowers, pepper and leather, enhanced by a subtle smokiness. In the mouth it combines power with elegance, with pure fruit, subtle spices, silky tannins and great length. Terrific value if the mythical La Chappelle doesn't fit your budget. Delicious 2014. Needed 1 hour to sing to us — 6 years ago
Whoa! This is great! And it’s quite a value, too! This is better than some Bordeauxs that cost ten times what this costs. I don’t know how well it will hold up in 10 to 20 more years, but it’s very drinkable now.
Wet, cobblestones and wet leather on the nose. A hint of cassis on the front of the tongue. Medium tannic structure. Flinty high notes on the mid palate and on the finish. No low notes to balance out the high, but otherwise I’m happy with this wine. I’m giving it a 9.5 because it’s my ideal of what a Bordeaux should be. — 2 months ago
White Rhone. Nose: pear, lemon. Taste: lemon, honey. Very interesting white and I wasn’t aware there were white chateauneuf-du-pape. — 5 months ago
There is some evident oak up front in this Cuvée Felix, lots of fresh, clean red-fruited Grenache which is less ripe than the 2015 CdP opened with this, some mineral and floral notes as well, very good balancing acidity which keeps the wine youthful (it really seems like a 10-year-old CdP), I’d say it will improve for 5 years and easily last 10 more years, but the long, lively finish means it’s drinking very well tonight!! Purchased at the domaine in early 2007. — 6 months ago

Yet another overachieving ‘22 Provence rosé; very satisfying after recent Provence vintages produced a cloying totty fruity pop. White flowers with a pinch of pepper greets you on the first swill. There’s some nice pineapple juice in the middle palate that takes you unexpectedly to a dry finish. This is good stuff and certainly worth a try. — 3 years ago
First wine I chose postpartum! So fresh, with a funky nose — 5 years ago
First white chateauneuf du pape I’ve had and it did not dissapoint. Another great Bar Bucce selection. Strong notes of lemon and pear, finishing taste of honey. Delicious. — 5 months ago
New Years Eve dinner - which red wine to drink?! 🤔
Finally settled on an old favorite - Paul Jaboulet Hermitage.
Did not disappoint - smooth, concentrated fruits, with a hint of earthy, charcoal, tobacco.
Nice way to end our wine drinking for 2025, here’s to more great wines in 2026! 🥂 — 6 months ago

A solid budget “Beauj”. This actually tastes like terroir and you can tell the winemaker is trying to not get too involved in the cellar unlike last nights moulin a vent. A lightness and tartness that is quite fun raspberry notes of fruit and a lot of acidity lead to a good drinking wine. Perhaps cherry notes in the middle? The finish isn’t huge but it does linger after swallowing. Actually the nose is quite pretty. Lilac notes? A flower. Highly recommended. The light tartness on the finish might a little much for some people. Maybe air will mellow it. Will buy again.
Edit: after 20 or 30 min of air the tart end integrates and the wine smoothed even more out. This probably deserves a higher rating than 9. Highly recommended — 3 years ago
Not as pepper-driven as previous vintage I’ve tasted but still enjoyable and highly quaffable. — 4 years ago
