Saumur Chenin Blanc 2023

Classic honeysuckle and orchard fruit notes. Nice finish. Not super complex, but Chenin Blanc rarely is. — 7 days ago

Les Moulins Saumur Chenin Blanc 2017

My second time rating this Wine lol but this time with much more age: it has a lot going on! Classic Chenin on nose & palate: sun warmed, straw, Parmesan, bruised Apple, lemon zest, and of course, loads of acid & minerality! — a month ago

Les Chapaudaises Saumur Cabernet Franc 2018

Figs and ripe sweet fruit on the nose, with hints of smoked meat, like jerky, and deep rose and candied hibiscus nestled deep. Medium bodied, with quick, nice legs, with a floral palate, smooth and lithe, with silky acidity just starting to soften, vegetal notes, prominent florals more than defineable red fruit, and silky tannins that lead to a dry, lingering but still floral and fresh finish. Maybe even a hit of menthol showing at the end. — 2 years ago

Saumur Rosé Blend 2022

Pale pink/peach color, with a very fragrant nose of ripe peach, hibiscus flower candied, a little orange rind and some grassy notes. Medium bodied, with a sharp, tart acidity and underripe red and yellow fruits, surprisingly yellow, with a long dry finish — 2 months ago

Les Moulins Saumur Cabernet Franc 2022

Casual pour of the Sunday evening part 2. Very young, needs air. A bit harsh around the edges at first but settles down after a while. True to type. Cherry, green bell pepper, black pepper on the nose. Good acid drive, nice cherry note all along, some vivid mouthfeel, some drying tannins in the rear. There is some width and some dusty, drying effect starts a long and fruit-forward finish with an umami twist which makes it great, with almost a touch of meat juice. It's a very good wine but I suspect that it could be even better in another 2 or 3 years. — 2 years ago

Just finished it after leaving it for 5 days in the fridge. This is showing much better now. What a great wine, what a bargain!
