Wonderful Creamy melon and Stone fruit baking spice perfect acidity — 5 months ago
Enjoyed a splash of another quality 2022.
Viscous. Lemon, lime, green apple, tropicals, kiwi, honeysuckle, light caramel, vanilla notes, beautiful soft chalkiness-limestone, volcanics, yellow and white flowers, excellent acidity with an elegant, balanced, round finish that lasts a full minute.

White flower aromas lead with notes of honey and toasted almonds. Hint of baking spices. Ripe Peach, melon and lemon fruit dominate the pallet with a hint of pie dough and those baking spices. Nice long finish and creamy texture. Really developing well with a bit of age. Appreciate you sharing this one, Ron B! — 4 years ago
Burgundy silk, great with sardines and creamy french cheese — 7 years ago
Fresh & sappy, elegant.
I feared a burly, chunky Syrah when I saw this and was super impressed by the elegance and great flow.
Black fruit with a peppery edge, a touch of roast, rocky, slightly smoky undercore.
Fresh and pure, showing beautifully the savoury fruity side of this cool vintage.
On the palate this sings. Polished tannins, juicy fresh acidity, a touch of wood & creamy roundness on the mid palate, nice length and pure finish.
Juicy, fresh and elegant at the same time. Dangerously drinkable while quite sophisticated at the same time.

Morin Père & Fils – Nuits-Saint-Georges – 2022 – Côte de Nuits – Burgundy – France 🇫🇷
Overview
A classic expression of Nuits-Saint-Georges, showcasing the appellation’s hallmark structure and depth. The 2022 vintage delivers ripe concentration while preserving the firm backbone and aging potential typical of this Côte de Nuits village.
Aromas & Flavors
Darker fruit profile with black cherry, blackberry, and plum, layered with subtle spice, forest floor, and a touch of earthy complexity. More brooding and introspective than its Côte de Beaune counterparts.
Mouthfeel
Medium to medium-plus body with noticeable yet refined tannins. Structured and firm, but still rounded, offering balance between power and elegance. The finish lingers with a savory, slightly grippy edge.
Food Pairings
Duck breast, beef bourguignon, lamb, mushroom-based dishes, or aged cheeses. Perfect for dishes that can match its structure.
Verdict
A true Côte de Nuits backbone, deeper, more structured, and built with aging in mind. Darker, firmer, yet still polished. A textbook Nuits-Saint-Georges that delivers exactly what you expect, and want from the appellation.
Did You Know?
Unlike neighboring Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges has no Grand Cru vineyards, yet it consistently produces some of the most age-worthy and structured wines in Burgundy, often outperforming expectations over time.
🍷 Personal Pick
This is my “structure fix” Burgundy, when I want Pinot with grip, depth, and a bit more attitude. — 2 months ago
Vintage 2018 | true to type Chardonnay, with a certain refinement, balanced, juicy. I am hesitant to give a higher appreciation, because p/q ratio annoys me — 10 months ago
