The North Slope Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015

I’m late to writing this having worked my way through half a case since 2019, but the wine was outstanding throughout and still seemed to have a lot of life in Jan ‘26. Deep, dark, sweet fruit, edges may have rounded over time but maintains a gentle acidity and earthy finish. Raspberry, tart cherry, plummy finish, a depth that few other WH North Slopes have. Wish I had more. — 10 days ago

Porcospino Northridge Vineyard Primitivo 2021

Garnet red, very good clarity, moderate to high pigment extraction. Luscious red fruit initially with a touch of black fruit on the finish. Light acid, good body, not too alcoholic. After 30 minutes caramel with a touch of eucalyptus and cola emerge while cherry recedes and blackberry undercurrent remains. 24 hours later, fruit flavors integrate with barrel flavors: cranberry, caramel, cherry and eucalyptus cough syrup. Nice complexity but decant to get there, requires patience. Moderate skin astringency on finish may lose some people but it adds to the complexity favorably for me. — 2 months ago

Seven Falls Cellars

Wahluke Slope Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Looks like a nice Columbia Valley Cab. Dark color. Heady and dense nose. Maybe a herbal and earthy streak in with the plum sauce on the nose. Flavors are chewy and vicious. Horehound meets berry cobbler and a bit of flint. Plenty bittersweet like a good Cab should be. Has a big style, but holds a bit of elegance as well. Will be great with the grilled steak I’m going to have with it later. A nice find at the grocery outlet 20% off wine sale. — 10 months ago

Cinghiale Rosebud Vineyard Sangiovese 2022

Not quite as much of the pure cherry of Tuscan Sangiovese, but you can taste it. Would I have known it was Sangiovese blind? Maybe. Little more bulk and backbone, less soft than a Chianti Classico. Very nice, though. I’d get it again — 2 months ago

Me Vineyard Collection Northridge Vineyard Merlot 2013

This is nicely done. A bit on the “in your face” side, it’s got loads of rich, plummy Merlot fruit, a fair whack of French oak, and loamy earth notes. Rich, darkly fruity, a bit chocolatey in the mouth. Still a fair amount of soft, side-of-the-mouth-clingy tannin left. More youthful than its 12-year age. 15% alcohol. I prefer a slightly more reserved style, but this is impressive in its own way. — 8 months ago

Tamarack Cellars

Wahluke Slope Cabernet Franc 2013

This was opened a few days back the 2013 Tamarack Cellars Wahluke Slope Cabernet Franc from Walla Walla, Washington.

On the nose is black cherry, blackberry, red plum, green bell pepper, herbaceous and wet gravel.

On the palate is raspberries, strawberry, red plum, black currant, green bell pepper, milk chocolate, fall leaves and crushed gravel.

This wine is medium to full bodied with medium + acidity and medium + firm grippy tannins that gives you a long red fruit crushed gravel finish. This weekend try and do something special with a friend or loved one. Enjoy some wine and some good food and stay healthy and safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷
