Medium lemon colour . Very little perlage . This is quite mature on the nose with some orange rind , touch of honied brioche , dried chanterelles and some oyster shell . Some roasted almond , really quite intense on the palate , high refreshing mineral tinged acidity , orange peel , nutty , slightly honied long and quite electric finish. This holds up pretty well in the glass becoming more chalky and mineral. Drink now and over the next few years, at least on this showing . — a year ago
A fabulous Tuesday night wine, particularly at this price point. This mixture of chard and Riesling works so well… and as others have said, the label alone should make you love this wine! Cheers! — 6 months ago
Wowza. Old vine Zin from Howell Mountain, treated gently and not too ripe, leads with an earthy black peppercorn note and this has it. Underneath is spicy dark berry fruit. On the palate the peppercorn earthiness follows through, but ripe crimson berry fruit is there, spice, and there is electric ⚡️⚡️acidity. Tannins are soft, zero jamminess. Just beautiful. — 3 years ago
My favorite Dampt wine and man is this electric. Acid for days. But a nice richness but man does that acid slap you right after. Awesome texture and length. Nose is stunning. Seashells, etc, but palate is the show. The acid is ridiculous. So complete and mineral on the finish. This is so fine. — 6 months ago

Well, here we are. Selosse Initial. What is there really to say? Is it good? Is it great? Is it delicious? Does it live up to the hype? Did it change my life?
Yes.
A beautiful golden hue in the glass with profuse perlage. There’s no need for traditional notes here, we already know. Wonderfully electric, saline, and textured. Depth, personality, and romance.
Nothing I say here matters. Go get as many Selosse champagnes as you can. Then get a few more. And enjoy life. — 21 days ago
