Clay loved it. Soph liked but not as much as clay but would drink again. — 6 years ago
v17. Delicious, well done! Barrel room nose of fruit remnants, and toasted vanilla . Fresh, deep, rich black currant and cassis fruit. Long, slightly astringent , dry chalky chocolate and leather finish. — 2 months ago
Very nice and smooth — 6 months ago
Amazing, excellent Pinot Noir. No sign of obvious aging, lovely balance and plenty of fruit and character.
This was a bottle of the 2011 consumed in December 2023. Wonderful. — 3 years ago
2018 Olivet Lane Vineyard Chardonnay

Darker than most Pinots in the glass. Love the dense cherry opener. Raspberries and blackberries mid with a strong cola finish and just a bit of spice . Not the dusty earth you find in Oregon, but this will drink well all night. I've always been a fan of RRV Pinots done right. This delivers. — 14 days ago
From a very old vineyard. Medium color saturation. I love the nose: classic Dry Creek Zin scents of exceedingly pure spicy blackberry juice, a bit of dark raspberry, and warm sandstoney gravel. Really nice balance on the palate. Surprisingly lip-smacking acidity zips along the somewhat austere (for a Zin) and minerally flavors. Structured almost like a left bank Bordeaux. I really like this . . . but . . . it’s just a tad leaner and more reserved on the palate than my ideal. That said, this will age slowly for a Zin and would pair with a wide variety of meals. Only 14.5% alc., mercifully. 9.1 for now but may go a bit higher in a few years. — 7 months ago
Very nice, blackberries, restrained tannins — a year ago
1989 held up very well. — 5 years ago
This wine is hitting on all cylinders. Full bodied, fruit forward, lots of cherries and no more tannins. Wish I had more. — 6 years ago
"Odedi"
Deep gold in color.
Strong nose of citrus, apples, lemons, oak, vanilla, mediterranean spices, light earth, herbs and honeysuckle.
Medium plus in body and creamy, with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with yellow apples, citrus, pears, oak, light vanilla, spices, herbs, earth and white pepper.
Long finish with limes and marzipan notes.
This 3 year old Chardonnay from Russian River Valley is drinking very nicely now, although a bit young, and needs a couple of years in the bottle to mature properly.
Fruit forward and oaky, with nice balance. Complex and engaging, rich and entertaining.
Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself as a sipping wine.
Buttery, with a soft mouthfeel. Elegant and tangy. Feels like a young white Burgundy.
Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years, and see how it evolves.
Really enjoyed the nose, and better when not too cold.
100% Chardonnay grapes were aged in (30% new) French Oak barrels for 10 months.
