Mealy, brioche, mixed with fresh lemon and slate. Perfect balance of steely mineral, lemon sweetness, and buttery brioche. Wombat creek has been my favourite single vineyard Giant Steps a few times. This is outstanding. A complete wine. — 5 years ago

I agree with both sides here. Big giant fruit bomb but a league ahead of the competitors (Justin and Daou) because it has nice acidity and a long complex finish. Justin’s isosceles by comparison is a raisiny, overripe flabby mess of a wine. Definitely some RS on this wine but I can’t complain because my palate is refreshed from the acidity and reassured by the complex finish. In short gets my vote. 👍 — 5 years ago
Darker and more brooding than Primavera. More structured. Plums, cherries, lilac and dried strawberries. Blood/iron notes. Classic — 6 years ago
Between Applejack and Sexton, this displays strawberries all day, with twists of mushroom funk, sandalwood spice, and red cherries. Good — 7 years ago
Love. The aroma smells like notes of briny olives. Tannic but still smooth. — 4 months ago
Light and smooth. Peppery, cranberries, raspberries and coffee. Jammy on the finish. — 7 months ago

Not too dry — 5 years ago
More delicate and filigree than Wombat. Traditional chablis profile - citrus, some mineral and spice from oak. Linear and focused with strong acid spine. — 6 years ago
美味しい。
デサートワインと銘打っているが、甘さはそれほどでも無い。爽やかな飲口。
フルーティだが複雑。 — 7 years ago
A little green in flavor (as in unripe), too acidic, but had some elements of tropical fruit, just not full and ripe. Has potential but not the best. — 2 years ago
Another spot on wine from Morgan, I love the back label story about his grandmother passing along the love of wine in their family. Grenache is so much about how it is grown, and the sourcing for this wine delivers great fruit. The winemaking is restrained which lets the fruit shine thru. What a lock with our Applewood smoked baby back ribs! — 5 years ago
V17. Pretty good... opaque color. Smokey nose. Substantial black cherry fruit. Black pepper, chocolate and earthy finish. Nicely balanced . — 5 years ago
2021 welcome — 6 years ago
Prior notes from 125 weeks ago still apply although I didn’t find this full bodied like I said over 2 years ago. There was that stalkiness and more savoury than fruity. The Yarra Valley is so versatile and does all the great grape varieties well with the exception of Riesling which is not planted. — 6 years ago
Superb. Really nice - flavourful, juicy, fruity, smooth. Buy again soon — 7 years ago

Playing catch up on some wines consumed weeks ago. Lamenting the change to this gorgeous old Giant Steps label — boring minimalist is apparently the rage these days. Recall enjoying this one, and it’s in a good place. — 2 days ago
