Nice- dry, refreshing — 2 years ago
2022 vintage.
Basarico is Piedmontese for basil.
2.5 hectares of vines 20 years of age.
Bright pale green in colour with a nose of citrus, green herbs and tropical fruit.
Fresh and lively with grapefruit rind, lime zest and passion fruit.
Crisp acidity with minerality on the finish.
A fantastic seafood wine.
Exciting when it’s young but if you are patient…..give it 5 years.
It will be smooth and subtle. — 6 months ago
Seven years after the vintage, this one shows no signs of slowing down. On the nose, green grass, tomato plant, papaya... On the palate, papaya again... Big mineral... Good acidity. Medium finish. Crisp, bright, and alive. Very enjoyable. — 3 years ago

A stately, well-structured red from Friuli. This one had the maturity and mellow character of a wine almost a decade old. The tannins, though no doubt softened over the years, provided enough structure to allow this schioppettino to continue ageing, even if only for a couple more years. Blueberries and vanilla were present on the nose, whereas the palate presented flavors of prunes, raisins, plums, and a hint of tobacco. Very happy to have procured this bottle; it was a great pairing for our Easter leg of lamb! 100% Schioppettino. 4/17/22. — 4 years ago
