Wonderful Brut from the Bourgogne (Burgundy) region of France. Nice combination of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. Taste of apple and mild citrus flavors. Sips well any time but also a great starter for Lunch/dinner. Great value! Frank October 2025 — 9 months ago
A fair amount of depth. Medium-low sweetness. Herbs on the front, rosemary. Develops into peaches and watermelon. A touch of honey as it finishes.
Overall, a definite rebuy! — 3 years ago
Characterized by gentle bubbles and a dry sweetness with a funk going throughout. Super enjoyable! Flowers and red berries a bit too! Toastiness and nuttiness to it all as well. — 5 years ago

Very crisp and light, and not too bubbly. Steely flavors or apple and pear and finishes very delicately. Best to have before food, as it will change the flavor profile if eating/drinking simultaneously! — 7 years ago

Louis Bouillot – Crémant de Bourgogne Rosé Brut. Burgundy – France 🇫🇷
Overview
A charming and approachable Crémant de Bourgogne Rosé from one of Burgundy’s historic sparkling wine houses. Crafted in the traditional method, this bottling focuses on freshness, finesse, and drinkability, perfect for casual moments without sacrificing quality.
Aromas & Flavors
Delicate red berry aromas lead the way, with notes of wild strawberry, red currant, and a hint of citrus peel. On the palate, it stays light and clean, offering subtle raspberry, crisp apple, and a gentle brioche nuance in the background.
Mouthfeel
Light-bodied and finely textured with soft, well-integrated bubbles. Fresh acidity keeps it lively and refreshing, finishing clean and dry with an easy, crowd-pleasing charm.
Food Pairings
Aperitif-friendly on its own, or pair with light bites such as charcuterie, fresh cheeses, sushi, smoked salmon, or summer salads. Also a great companion for brunch.
Verdict
A lovely, no-fuss Crémant that delivers exactly what it promises: delicacy, balance, and pure enjoyment. Casual yet polished, making it a reliable go-to sparkling option.
🍷 Personal Pick Highlight
Delicate, refreshing, and effortlessly drinkable. This is the kind of Crémant that disappears quickly, easy to enjoy, easy to share, and always satisfying. — 6 months ago
Mild buttery, good on own — a year ago
Bright and deep ruby purple with quickly dissipating magenta mousse. Black cherry and tarry patent leather on the inviting nose and medium full palate. Medium acidity and medium tannins. Finish is lengthy and continues the palate and extends the tannins. Wonderful dry red sparkler suitable for brunch, dinner, or just sipping (though the tannins do call for food of some type). Drink it when you buy it. — 3 years ago

Surprisingly good, all the traditional champagne notes and then a few extras, great way to celebrate. Hint of sherry perhaps? — 6 years ago
Made me sick but very good! Total Wine — 5 months ago
My first vintage Crémant, this shows some development. Ripe citrus, lightly baked apple, pear, with hint of toasted brioche. The effervescence remains fine and persistent.
Easy drinking. — 7 months ago
Delicious by itself and in mimosa. Not too buttery. — a year ago
Popped and poured; no formal notes. While the Goutorbe was ready for the business, this 2016 from Gimonnet was more of a discussion about its potential. This Special Club bottling showcases Oger and naturally, is a 100% Chardonnay BdB. I like where it’s headed, it’s just so youthful and tightly coiled. Loads of minerals and acid. Needs time. Drink after 2026 and through 2046. — 2 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2008 pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of passion fruit, green apple, marzipan, light brioche, lemon curd, and chalk for dayzzzz. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and textural; leezy. I’m smitten. Lovely stuff. Drink now through 2048. Disgorged April 2022. — 5 months ago
